2021 PMT Employee of the Year Announced & Other Awards

Jose Alonzo was announced as Employee of the Year for 2021 at PMT’s Annual Awards Banquet. Jose has been with PMT for six years. Jose began his career at PMT as an Installation and Repair Technician, working with primarily residential customers.  He then transitioned to his current role as an Advanced Service Technician.

As an Advanced Service Technician, Jose focuses on providing communications services to businesses.  This includes installing and supporting business-class Internet, phone service, phone systems, cable TV, networking, alarm systems, and more.

“Jose is an asset to not only PMT but all the business customers he serves.  This past year, he has spent a considerable amount of time being trained and certified to stay up-to-date on the latest phone systems and cloud services.  Jose does an outstanding job, all with a smile,” states Matt Lyman, PMT Outside Plant Manager.

Jose and his wife, Denys, live in Rupert and are busy raising their family.  When not a work, Jose enjoys wrestling, boxing, and spending time with his family.

2020 PMT Employee of the Year Announced & Other Awards

 

Jennifer Ballance was announced as Employee of the Year for 2020 at PMT’s Annual Awards Banquet. Jennifer has been at PMT for the past 12 years.  Jennifer started her career at PMT doing utility line locates and quickly moved into her current position within the Accounting Department where she handles payroll and collections.

Jennifer is responsible for preparing PMT’s payroll and making sure taxes are paid on time. Jennifer keeps employees informed and up to date on all PMT’s employee benefits from health care to 401(k) and more. Along with her HR responsibilities, Jennifer takes care of past-due customers and collections.

“Jennifer is very deserving of our Employee of the Year award. She does an outstanding job with her payroll, insurance, and general HR duties for all PMT employees and their families. Jen recently received her certification as an HR Generalist,” states Dan Hoover, PMT President & CEO.

Jennifer and her husband, John, live in Rupert.  When not a work, she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her loved ones.

2019 PMT Employee of the Year Announced & Other Awards

Gabriel Montoya was announced as Employee of the Year for 2019 at PMT’s Annual Awards Banquet. Gabriel has been at PMT for the past six years.  Gabriel spent the bulk of his time in the Maintenance Department and has recently moved over to the Inventory Department.

As the Purchasing/Inventory Clerk, Gabriel in responsible for purchasing and tracking the many materials that PMT employees need for day-to-day operations and projects.  Gabriel plays an instrumental role in keeping PMT’s multi-million dollar fiber projects on schedule.  Complimenting Gabe’s great worth ethic is his easy-going personality and his commitment to PMT and its employees.

“Gabriel has done an excellent job of reorganizing and improving our Inventory Department.  There are a lot of moving pieces and projects at PMT,” states Dan Hoover, PMT President & CEO, “We can count on Gabriel to make sure that each department has the materials they need to complete projects on time and on budget.”

Gabriel and his wife, Arlene live in Rupert.  When not a work, Gabriel enjoys spending time with his family, working with his cows, following football, and hunting.
